STUNNING FIRST FLOOR TWO BEDROOM APARTMENT NEXT TO SEA, WITH LOVELY VIEWS OVER THE BAY. THE APARTMENT IS IN A QUIET LOCATION 5 MINUTES WALK FROM TOWN CENTRE.
We have been visiting Medulin for last four years. We love the climate, the food , and the people. Last year we decided to look for a property and we found this one. It is in a lovely quiet location , with an unspoilt view of the sea. The shops , bars and restaurants are all only a short walk away, but out of earshot. My wife wanted to be near the sea , and this is perfect. The beach nearby is ideal for the children, as it is very shallow , very safe, and very clean. The food is cheap as well!
Is a car essential?
A car is not essential , as Pula airport is only a short taxi ride away. However Istria has many lovely places to visit both on the coast and inland, so a car would be useful. The road system in Istria is excellent, with lots of money recently spent on upgrading the road network.
What is there to do nearby?
There is something for everybody. The local hotels all have water sports for hire. There is fishing, scuba diving, boat hire. There is golf nearby, you can hire sailing boats, horse riding, and also cycle hire. If you like walking, there are many coastal paths. Bird watching is also very good. If you like history, then Pula is steeped in this , with lots to see. The local beach is sandy, with others shingle or rock. There are also numerous nudist beaches if this takes your fancy. There is also a pool available to use for a small fee at the Hotel Arcus approximately 200m from the apartment.
AS A VISITOR TO CROATIA YOU MUST REGISTER WITHIN 48 HOURS AT A TOURSIST OFFICE AND PAY THE VISITORS TAX. THIS IS APPROXIMATELY 1 EURO PER DAY PER ADULT WITH REDUCTIONS FOR CHILDREN. IT VARIES DEPENDING ON THE TIME OF YEAR. SANDI WILL ASSIST YOU WITH THE PAPERWORK AND WHERE TO GO. HOWEVER YOU MUST ATTEND IN PERSON WITH YOUR PASSPORT AND REGISTER. THIS MAY SAVE YOU A FINE WHEN YOU TRY TO LEAVE CROATIA!
We Had a lovely Stay at the Appartment, very clean, close to sea, lovely view, nearby to Medulin camping village, were there is loads of entertainment for kids and adults ie fun fair, disco, bars, restaurants. Highly recommended.

Great appartment, wonderful view, excellent location, friendly and helpful staff (especially Sandi, the manager). Definitely a place to recommend.
Important Note: As of end of May 2010, the owner of the appartment had not completed the paperwork to fully register the appartment with the government. As the registration is requested for foreigners (many nationalities), we had to go to the local tourist office to register and this cost was not included in the price (it is normally included). The process was simple but a bit annoying when you travel with a baby!
Thankyou for the good review. My apologies for having to register in person, the paperwork in Croatia is nearly complete to allow the local agent to complete the tourist registration for you. This should be done by October. It was planned for the start of the summer season, but my trip was cancelled due to the volcanic ash and so the paperwork was delayed. Pleased you had a great trip.

A beautifully clean and well-maintained apartment, in a lovely quiet area right on the waterfront, but just a few minutes walk from restaurants, bars, shops and a bank.
My only gripe - and this is no reflection on the propertys owner - was noise from the apartment above in the second week I was there. And I searched high and low but couldnt find the ironing board! Otherwise, a superb base for exploring the town and beyond. Thanks, Steve.

The view from our balcony was stunning- one of the best in this area, in my opinion. Only a short, flat walk to the centre of Medulin but we felt really removed from all the buzz. The apartment was well kitted out with a feeling of coming home from home. Steve, the owner. couldnt have been more helpful- giving us any info we needed before arrival and Sandi, the agent, was there on arrival to welcome us. Would definitely recommend. We hired a car for the 2 weeks which enriched our experience of Croatia- fantastic!

The apartment was excellent and the site was quiet and away from the main town. The views were exceptional. We did feel the kitchen could have been better equipped with at least one mixing bowl for the scrambled eggs! The oven had been left in a very dirty state.
Didnt find a hotel next door with swimming pool.
I would recommend as we enjoyed ourselves very much.
We have since updated the kitchen and added a microwave oven, coffee machine, and electric mixing bowl. The swimming pool is located at the hotel Arcus which is at the end of the street. The problem with the dirty oven has been resolved with the cleaners for future visitors.
