Villa Mornar

This enchanting poolside villa offers you a peaceful holiday in a bay around 10km from Rogoznica, a coastal location in Dalmatia which enjoys a magnificent climate. Within 40 minutes' drive of Sibenik and less than an hour from Split, this villa can accommodate up to six guests and offers attractive outdoor spaces.

Villa Mornar is a very modern holiday home which features its own private pool and terrace. There is room for drinks and dining outside, particularly pleasant in the evenings when you can make use of the atmospheric lighting. There are sun loungers lined up just beside the 8m x 3m pool, where non-swimmers can enjoy the ambience just as much, and an outdoor shower.

The location of Kanica offers many opportunities to enjoy the outdoors – it's great for hiking and cycling, and has a number of pebble beaches with adjacent cafes and restaurants, and lovely coves to discover. Water-sports are also a possibility, perhaps hiring a kayak or paddle-boat, or going water-skiing or diving. Boat trips are another nice way to enjoy the region.

The villa includes all you could need for your entertainment, with satellite TV and internet access, while the kitchen has a dishwasher, coffee machine and many other electrical appliances.

The accommodation covers two floors, with a total of three bedrooms – one with a double bed, one with a king-size, and one with zip-link twin beds. There is also a cot available if you are bringing an infant. A bathroom with a shower, and a second washroom can also be found at Villa Mornar. Additionally, there's an enclosed garden and parking for three cars.

The house is just 80m from local amenities including a grocery store and restaurant, and a similar distance from the beach. Nearby Rogoznica is a quiet place to chill out, and offers some good dining options, many to be found in the beautiful Marina Frapa, where much of the local nightlife can also be found.

Location

Located on a peninsula that was once an island called Kopara, Rogoznica can be found on the Dalmatian Coast of Croatia, around 35km from Sibenik and 55km from Split. It's a good place to be if you like chilled out beach life, and it gets plenty of sun. The sheltered bay avoids high winds too, so you should have a calm and peaceful time.

Many of the beaches are pebbly or rocky, like the family-friendly Milne Beach in the centre of the town. You are never too far from some restaurants and cafes in Rogoznica, so it's easy to spend the day at the beach without having to go a long distance to eat. Sepurina is another nice beach which has facilities including showers, changing rooms and toilets, so it's particularly good for those with young families.

Rogoznica has a range of shops where you can buy all the essentials, and you will also see plenty of fishermen around selling freshly-caught fish. The centre of much of the town's activity is Marina Frapa, an impressive and beautiful marina with 450 berths, that also features a sports centre, a nightclub and plenty of dining options. One regular event is the traditional fishing night, but most evenings this is just a nice place to relax with a drink or go for a walk.

Around 10 minutes' drive up the coast, the small town of Primosten is also well worth a visit, with some excellent restaurants, lovely beaches and one of the area's best-known nightclubs, Aurora
