Family from Norwich, United Kingdom Jul 2017

We had a fantastic stay in this villa. The owners could not have been more helpful. They were there to greet us even though we were late and had got lost. When our daughter was poorly they offered advice over the phone to me and dropped round some medicine for her! They were on hand for advice over the phone at any time, and yet unless we needed them we didn't see them. They also lent us a buggy as we got a flat tire on ours at the airport, which was a life saver as we have a two year old, and a fortnight without a buggy would have been hard work.

The villa was the perfect size for us as a family of four but you could have easily had a couple more children. The pool was lovely, very clean and just the right size for our family. If you are looking to swim lengths, it is not really big enough, but for family fun it is perfect. There is a lovely BBQ / oven in the garden and we are out at it all the time. The villa itself was spotless.

Imotski is an amazing place to visit. Everyone was really friendly and I have never been to such a child friendly destination! Everyone's children were out at restaurants and bars and they talked to and entertained and made friends with my children while my husband and I had some lovely local beer. There is an amazing pizza restaurant in imotski, but if you are looking for fine dining, there are not many restaurants. There are plenty of bars and coffee places to spend many hours though! We were lucky enough to be there for a week of celebrations, and there was street entertainment, live concerts and fireworks! The whole town got involved, it was amazing. It is also really nice to have somewhere to come back to after a day at the beach, as during the summer holidays the beaches were very busy and hot and I was glad to come back to a quieter place to stay. The beaches by the time you have found some where to park are about 40 minutes away, we went to the beach probably 5 or 6 times in a two week holiday.

The only thing I would say is that as it was 40 degrees at some points on our holiday, the upstairs bedrooms with no air conditioning were very hot. The owner had told us their plans to put air conditioning in upstairs, like there already is down stairs when we got there, and that would be a huge improvement, so when that is done It will be perfect!

We'd love to go again.

Frequently asked questions

Directions and details on how to collect the keys will be emailed to you after you have paid for the booking in full. You will receive full details about your booking including directions to the property and a booking voucher that you need to hand over to the property manager when you receive the keys. In some instances you may need to collect the keys from the property manager’s office or some other location which is not the actual property you have booked to stay in. Please note that the agent provides us with the GPS co-ordinates in the travel directions and we communicate these to you; you should contact the property manager if these are unclear.

The exact dimensions will vary from property to property but the agent has specified that bed sizes are as follows:

  • A single bed is typically 70cm to 85 cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A double bed is typically 140cm to 180cm wide and 180cm to 190cm deep.
  • A “grand lit” is a European double bed, suitable for couples, and can be smaller than the usual UK or American doubles. It is typically 130cm wide but in some instances may be wider; it is approximately 180cm to 190cm deep.

A bunk bed is two single beds, one on top of another. Some properties also have pull-out beds, sofa beds and/or bed chairs; in a few properties the bed can be low in a wooden frame on the floor. The beds often have terry cloth sheet mattress protectors to protect the mattresses; please use them with the bed linen.

Some properties may have a loft as a bedroom: this is usually an open room at the top of the house with sloping walls and mattresses on a low bed or on the floor itself. You need to climb a ladder to reach this room. Lofts are very popular with children but may not be suitable for adults or elderly guests.

If a property has an annexe then it will typically be a building attached to the main property or a small self-contained building. Annexes often have no central heating.

Please note that bedrooms in holiday rentals are usually not that large; you should refer to the floor plan to get a sense of size.

Quality rating: four stars. The agent rates this as a well-equipped holiday property with good furniture and a higher than normal specification.
