Two weeks in this fantastic vila with my family July/Aug 2014. I would recommend this vila to familys & couples to enjoy. The pool was perfect for small kids & older persons with steps walking it. The BBQ area is very well equiped. The local area is clean and friendly. & overall could not fault it. Brian and Family

As this was our first trip to Bulgaria we were a little apprehensive as to where to stay as we wanted a quite location away from the usual rowdy holiday makers and also to experience the traditional cultures of Bulgaria. If you are looking this type of holiday then I would highly recommend the Villa Rosen. You are approx. 30 minutes drive from Bourgas airport and about a 10 minute drive from the nearest beach. The village of Rosen is very quiet and the villa is right in the heart of it. There are a couple of local shops, bars and restaurants serving traditional Bulgarian delicacies but if you want to venture out to nearby Sozopol, or take a drive into Bourgas you will find lots of good places to eat catering for all tastes. I would recommend that you do a big shop for all your main meals at a Carfore or Lidl and visit the local shops to pick up the sundries as they are much cheaper than the big supermarkets, but as most Bulgarians are self sufficient with their fruit and vegetables there is a limited supply as to what the small shops sell. You must go to the man in the van, as we called him, on Saturday as he sells fresh fruit and veg at really low prices. I could not believe we bought a melon twice the size of the ones you get in the UK for a fifth of the price. You will need a car though to get around but you can also catch a bus by the villa if you dont want to drive. The couple who own and look after the Villa, Michelle and David, were perfection. They catered for all our needs and helped out no end in pointing out the best local attractions, shops and restaurants. We could not have asked for more from them. THEY WERE BLOODY BRILLIANT!. We will all be definitely returning there one day very soon.

Fantastic Villa in a traditional Bulgarian village location. Michelle and David made us feel very welcome on our arrival and throughout our stay, giving us tips and advice on our first visit to Bulgaria. We loved the villa, as there had been so much thought gone into it with absolutely everything you would need! Including beach towels, tea towels and absolutely everything you would have in your kitchen at home. There was a fantastic pool area with a fridge for cold drinks throughout the day and 2 covered areas for relief from the sunshine and for alfresco dining in the evening. The pool was maintained throughout our stay by David and Michelle, who were always available, as they lived locally. We saw them almost on a daily basis, and we were always happy to see them ,as they are such a lovely couple. At no point did we feel that they encroached on or privacy. Thanks again for such a great stay and maybe one day well have the pleasure of meeting you again. Yvette, Paul, Charlotte and Carys Barnett.

Great villa and an amazingly low price. Weve stayed in villas before where its obvious that the owners have just gone for the cheap option for furniture and decor as its not a place they have to live themselves, but not here. The villa was decorated superbly, with great furnishings and a great homely feel, everything seemed brand new. the pool was great with lots of shelter, lots of chairs, loungers and tables, with a BBQ area and outside fridge (very useful). The bedrooms had air con, as did the lounge. plus there was live Premier league action (commentated in bulgarian), even of the 3pm games, much to the disguist of my wife :-). The other massive plus is that the villa has WiFi internet access, which was great for keeping in touch with back home, skyping etc The village itself is small but lovely, with 2/3 shops, a cafe\restaurant, a PO and a bakery (amazing bread). Its about a 10/15 min drive to either Sozopol or Burgas, Sozopol is more touristy, but has nice little market stalls. The whole Black sea coast is packed with Tourists, but hardly any english, mostly Russian, german, bulgarian. I think in 2 weeks I heard english twice spoken by anyone other than us. Not that this is a bad thing :-). there are beaches at Sozopol and Chermomorets, but we just loved the beach at Burgas, which was massively long, which led to it not being completely packed, and was right next to a massive park which had playgrounds and shade. The Black Sea is like stepping into a bath, so so warm, and at Burgas it had plenty of medium sized waves to entertain a 5 and 7 year old....!! We also went to the water park in Primorsko, which is billed as being the small one next to the one in Nessebar, but we found to be just right. Plus its cheaper after 2pm, which seems to be when everyone decends on it, so better to get there in the morning when yes youll pay a bit more, but theres no queues for the rides at all. All in all a great property, rented out by 2 people who live just down the road, speak the lingo, and will help you out wherever they can. Thanks Dave and Michelle, maybe see you again.....!!!!
