Maxwell is located on the livelier south coast of Barbados. It has an excellent climate and beautiful beaches with a wide range of watersports. The property is situated 2 blocks back from Maxwell Road which runs from Oistins though to bridgetown. Public transport is excellent and there are regular buses which are clean, well maintained and Inexpensive. Alternatively the locals favour the minibuses that run along the route all day long. If you stand still at the side of the road one will pull up alongside you within a few minutes and ask if you want to get in. The cost is about $2 bds (50p) however far you go.
Newly constructed June 2007. 3 bed/3 bath Townhouse with private pool in quiet residential area. Situated in a quiet residential area just 5 mins walk from Maxwell beach. Nearest bar 2 mins walk, other bars and shops close by. Lively St Lawrence Gap with restaurants and nightlife just 20 mins stroll (5 mins taxi). Fishing town of Oistins with the famous Friday night fish fry party night just 15min stroll. Shops, bars, restaurants, pharmacy and medical facilities all within walking distance. A car is not necessary to enjoy this property or surrounding area
All bedrooms have A/C and all rooms have ceiling fans there is also a safe in the master bedroom

I have just returned from a lovely holiday. I stayed in Fairholme Gardens for 15 nights. The house was lovely, just as the photos showed. There was everything you needed and more. Its situated in a really nice, quiet location, amongst locals and travellers. So you get a real feel of Barbados life, as opposed to staying in a hotel. This was my 5th time to Barbados in the last few years and as always, bajan people are probably the friendliest people ive ever met. Its only a short walk to the nearest beach and several other beaches are relatively nearby, either a slightly longer walk or a short bus ride. Theres a small convienience store and bar down the road and only a 10-15 minute walk to the supermarket and Oistins or jump on a ZR bus and its only minutes away. Also very near to the main nightlife on the south coast, at St Lawrence Gap, again you can just flag down a ZR bus or jump in a taxi for about £7. Theres no need for a car, unless of course you wanted to tour the island.
Janice, who managed the property, was lovely and lives in the house behind Fairhome Gardens, so easily reached if you needed anything.

No problems whatsoever.Within a 15min.walk to Oistins.We had a disabled member of family with us so we hired a small car for the 2 weeks.Picked car up at airport and dro pped off on departureIt isn`t necessary to hire a car as the main road and bus stops are a couple of minutes walk.Excellent location for touring the Island.The property itself is exactly as described.Very spacious and all facilities included.(Washing &drying machine etc.) The pool is very good! (cool in the morning). If I had to moan about anything it would be a small request for Wi-Fi or other internat connection but it did not become a problem. I would definately go back. Thank you!
We spent a very pleasant couple of weeks here & would be happy to return. Third bedroom is rather cramped and probably better for children, other two rooms are fine & spaceous. All facilities provided in the Kitchen/Laundry, ideal. A short walk (5-10 minutes) to Oistins & local beaches makes this property even more attractive. Thoroughly recommended.
Exactly as described on website - great to have a holiday home with all the home comforts. The garden and pool were great to cool off after the walk back from the shops & beach - the only negative would be the dogs opposite barking at night.
We have just returned from two weeks at 19a and we had an excellent time. The villa met all our expectations and we were very comfortable and felt very safe. We used the safe in the room but didnt bother with the security system. Janice was very friendly and attentive and went out of her way to accomodate our requests. We rented a car for the trip however the villa is close enought to the main road that you can easily grab a van or bus. The beach is also within walking distance (10 minutes) and the pool is a nice way to cool off after the walk back. We were concerned when booking that things would be a bit noisy with neighbours in 19b but we were not disturbed at all. It would be nice if there were some beach towels and face cloths but other than that we had everything we needed.I would recommend this property to anyone and would return in a heartbeat.
