Overview

Broganhaus is a penthouse chalet. Including the cellar it is approximately 120 sq m. It has three bedrooms- one double / one twin / one quad (wth two sets of adult sized handmade bunk beds.) Additional wooden slatted bunk beds and child cots are available. It is a modern build with a fully fitted kitchen with everythig you would need for home living. There is a bathroom with a toilet, a shower room and a separate toilet. There is a separate ski cellar downstairs. The car port is directly outside.

It is in quite an exceptional elevated position close to the ski slope and just above the Achter Jet Ski lift. It is truly "Ski and ski out".

It is also only 45 mins from Salzburg airport - 72km but is also within easy reach of Munich airport which is 2 hours 15 mins by car.

The skiing area is excellent for mixed groups as there are drop offs into off piste areas near pistes that can be managed by most competent skiiers. The ski lifts and facilities are top class with all you will need for apres ski and night life with many restaurants bars and nightclubs as well.

This is a little gem of a area nestled in the heart of the very expansive "Ski Amade".

Das Broganhaus ist eine sehr gute Möglichkeit gleichzeitig dorfnah, ruhig und direkt an der Piste gelegen unterzukommen. Die Schlafzimmer sind praktisch eingerichtet und die Möbel sind nicht abgewohnt. Während das Vierbettzimmer wirklich nur Übernachtungsraum ist, sind die beiden anderen Schlafzimmer geräumiger. Das Hauptschlafzimmer ist groß und man hat im Bett liegend wegen des breiten Panoramafensters einen tollen Blick auf Flachau und die Berge. Außerdem gibt es hier einen eigenen großzügigen Balkon (Vormittagssonne). In den 3 Sanitärräumen befinden sich insgesamt 3 Waschbecken, 2 Toiletten, 1 Dusche, 1 Vollbad. Die Räume sind praktisch, je mit einem Fenster ausgestattet und gut sauber zu halten. Das Highlight ist auf jeden Fall der riesige Wohn-, Ess- + Küchenbereich mit viel Fensterflächen und Übereckbalkon (Vormittags- + Mittagssonne). Das Entertainmentcenter (ich muss es einfach so nennen) besteht aus einem unfassbar großen Flatscreen-TV (60 oder 65" ?) mit Satellitenempfang und 5.1- DVD/Soundsystem einigen gemütlichen Sitzsäcken und einer Eck-Schlaf-Couch. Der Esstisch ist groß genug und ist auch mit ausreichend vielen bequemen Stühlen bestückt. Die Küche ist gigantisch und mit allen erdenklichen Utensilien und Maschinen bestückt (wirklich!). In den Schränken befinden sich schon die Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs - wie Gewürze, Filtertüten, Essig und Öl. Diese Küche lädt zu gemütlichen, gemeinsamen Zeiten beim Zubereiten des Frühstück und allen anderen Mahlzeiten ein (Wegen eines Skiverletzten waren wir kaum auswärts Essen und haben die Küche voll zu schätzen gelernt.). Man merkt auf jeden Fall, dass dieses Haus offensichtlich auch oft privat genutzt wird und entsprechend gut ausgestattet ist. Zugang zum Haus und zum eigenen geräumigen Skiraum mit Stiefelheizung ist keyless unproblematisch. Die komplette Kommunikation mit Shaun hat bestens geklappt. Auch die grundsätzliche Abwicklung über das Buchungssystem war unproblematisch. Es war leider für Ende Januar Anfang Februar viel zu warm in Flachau und für uns unerwartet überfüllt, aber dafür und den Skiunfall kann ja Shaun nichts -) Das Haus können wir uneingeschränkt (außer vielleicht für Nachmittagssonnenhungrige) weiter empfehlen.

Good living area, good facilities (interactive TV etc.). Super place to stay. Car parking can be an issue if there is more than one vehicle or it has snowed heavily. Once youve worked out how to do it (quite simple really) then it is easy to be on the Achterjet slope. The downside to the location is that it is probably too far for most to walk into the main area of the town, but on the other hand it is a cheap taxi ride and most people wont worry about it. There are a couple of bars/restaurants quite close, just not the main town. Would definitely stay here again.

We spent in Broganhaus a busy New Year week and we were very happy for the care and attention we received. We were staying with 4 kids including 1 baby and the facilities provided were beyond what wed asked for, including extra baby cot, plenty of toys, kids books, playmats etc. Overall facilities were simply excellent, fully equipped kitchen (cant think of anything we would miss there), large TV, very pleasant was floor heating in the hall and bathrooms. The layout of the apartment was very comfortable to host our big group of 10 people. Rooms are large and get plenty of sunshine, living area spacious, large balcony great for our babys naps. The building itself is set on a hill with beautiful view, 50m walk to a ski slope and if enough snow, you can get on your skis right in front of the door. The only down side of the location is that if you have a stroller, you need to push it up the hill to get home from a walk.

Ten of us stayed at Broganhaus for the last week of March. We found the property to be very well appointed, particularly the kitchen, and finished to a high standard. The bedrooms and bathrooms were simple yet efficient while being comfortable and spotlessly clean. The tv and hifi system in the living room was also much better than what one would normally find and was appreciated. The location up on the hill means than you can ride/ski down to the list in the morning (still plenty of snow left this season!) and its only a short walk back up again should you wish to go for an apres beer at the end of the day. The ski locker/boot room is also very useful. Overall I rate this property very highly and recommend it to anyone looking to stay in the Flachau area. It accomodates ten adults very comfortably.

Wonderfully appointed property in a great location within easy walking distance of the slopes even for children carrying their skis. It is also within walking distance of the village, though it is advisable to have a car to carry your shopping back. It is very comfortable and furnished to a very high standard - we will certainly be booking again for next year.
Wow! What a fantastic and relaxing summer holiday. The chalet was everything we had hoped for and more, and Austria is breathtaking in the summer. This is the sort of holiday where you have everything - swim, relax, cycle, walk, sunbathe...Austria and this chalet have it all. We will be booking again for next summer. Thank you
