The room had a beautiful balcony and view that you could not enjoy, because it is the only unit that does not have a table and chair to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. We were told it broke a long time ago, never to be replaced. So the balcony was never used. The advertisement states it can hold 4 people using a pull out couch. This pull out couch is so broken that you can't even use it on the floor. Communication with the owner is virtually non-exsistent. We spoke once in the beginning of February, never to be heard from again. Very disappointed and not worth the money.

The one bedroom suite was very clean and well stocked with basic necessities. Being Ocean front was amazing, the beach and water was like no other. The pool and grounds was super clean and well groomed. The staff was very helpful, friendly and willing to accommodate any requests we had. There were many dining options within walking distance and all were very good. If any negatives I would say that the sofa bed was not very comfortable and the suite could use a little updating. The drapes would be of better use in the front room if they were black out as it gets very bright and hot very early. All in all the value was very good for the cost of the room and we had a super great time. Nothing to do with the room but use bug spray when outside, you cant see them but you will feel the mosquito and sand fly bites for days afterward.

We have just ended a wonderful family vacation at this property and I highly recommend it. It could be the absolute best place to stay on all of the island for both its location and amenities. The size of the unit was perfect for 2 adults 2 kids (ages 9 and 11). The ocean is really only 20m away and the unit has a perfect view. The kids could go down to the beach on their own and we could watch them from above. The front desk and daily maid service were also very helpful, though there was some variation in friendliness. The property is exactly as described in the advert with a few exceptions: No patio set on the balcony but there were two beach lounge chairs. Horseback riding is $50 pp. The nearby childrens mini golf is in severe disrepair and should not be considered an attraction. The kitchen was well equipped but the knives were very dull and could use a sharpener.
I would like to add the following tips for the most enjoyment. If renting a car, use Oakland Car Rental. They will deliver and retrieve the car right from Antigua Village. Not only is the supermarket 5 minutes away by car, there are two local produce vendors who sell fruit and vegetables right in the Antigua Village parking lot (Cynthia and Roberta). If you are sensitive to noise you may want to bring earplugs for the mornings when the cacaphhony of surf, breeze, rain and birds is at a crescendo.
We also recommend sailing on the Wadadli Cats catamaran. They take you on adventure cicumnavigating the island, going snorkeling, and enjoying a terrific hot local lunch of chicken, fish, rice, pumpkin and more. Dont miss Chippys fish and chips on Wednesday and Friday nights as they are located just a few feet from Antigua Village. We also recommend visiting Turners beach or Jolly beach during your stay.
We did have some trouble communicating with Mr. Day after booking our vacation. We needed to extend our stay by one day and tried to contact him three times through the VillaRenters website between June and December with no response. We finally got our reservation confirmed, but we did not get a response about the extra day until we were actually in Antigua. It all worked out in the end, but better communication would have been preferred.

Great location and surroundings and nice apartment with superior services the balcony and the view on the beach it gives is superb. The beach, a few yards in front, is divine. Overall satisfaction. Some details could be improved: very bad knotty pillows and low standard mattress. Basic kitchen wares are provided I would suggest the provision of a basic blender, one could make smoothies with the terrific tropical fruits ! Mosquitoes during the night are a problem, the cheap screens not fitting tightly these invisible stinging beasts seem to appreciate white flesh, ours was abundantly red-dotted and itchy in the morning.

Had a very bad experience with renting this unit. I emailed the owner about initially renting this unit with several questions I had and he NEVER replied. I went ahead and booked anyway with villarenters.com but when I arrived at Antigua Village they did not have any record of my booking. Apparently it is the owners responsibility to place the booking with Antigua Village. If I had not brought along my booking confirmation, reception would have turned me away. I didnt get the requested unit until the people in it checked out, which was a day later. Instead we got a bad unit with rusted out appliances and poor furnishings. The owner, Mr Day, didnt respond to this problem until 5 days AFTER our arrival and only offered to "perhaps we can liaise upon your return" ... whatever that is supposed to mean. If you are thinking about renting this unit be aware you may not have a room when you arrive and if there is a problem dont expect the owner to do anything for you... defiantly not quickly anyway. We also rented another unit (Property ref: 86907 ) and it was a nice place and the owners of that unit had everything looked after and responded quickly to all questions. When we did finally get to move into this unit it was nice except for a extremely hard bed. We lost several days of vacation due to this error with no help from this owner. Left with a bad taste and wont return here.

Property was nice and close tonthe beach. We enjoyed especially the close location tonthe sea which resulted in a refreshing dive even before breakfest. Slight remark is the leaking shower and the one matres double bed. Rest was good. The surrounding and especially the gardens were stunning, beatiful. For a sea and watersport holiday good. Rest of the iland not so much to do or see. Missed some old english historic places and buildings.
