Very comfortable property and very well equipped. This the owners own holiday home so you can see its very well looked after with everything you need. Although in a rural setting access to the motorway on the coast was quick so great for exploring. Both bedrooms are excellent size so two couples would find the set up great. Highlights for us were the fish restaurants, trip to the Picasso museum (book on line ahead to avoid queuing) and for my wife and daughter the clothes shops!

What an absolute dream of a house! The surroundings are just unreal. Although the house is tucked away in the mountain (which we absolutely loved!) you don’t feel at all isolated. Iznate just down the road, where you’ll find a couple of shops and bars. Such lovely people as well. The pool was amazing, which is where we spent most of our time. House was fully equipped, and Julian the host was amazing. Highly recommend this place. We will definitely be back. Thanks again Julian!

Great rural Finca set in the mountains with fantastic views across the countryside to the sea below. We always like to holiday partially isolated for privacy and tranquility. The peace was only broken occasionaly by the neighbour's dog which is common place in Spain. The property is traditionaly Spanish with the usual quirks. The kitchen has loads of utensils, pan, glasses, mugs etc and the hob and cooker made it easy to cater. Didn't bother with the barbecue but there is a choice of two to use. Showers worked perfectly always loads of hot water, and most importantly, the beds were comfortable. We had a small problem with the wifi which was sorted out within 24 hrs, and we had the choice of Netflix, Prime and loads of Brit tv, but didn't watch much. The pool was a very welcoming 28 degrees most days, ideal for cooling off after sun bathing on one of the many available areas. The final approach road is dusty and a bit of a rough steep ride, but it is really worth the trip. The huge Eroski shopping centre is only a 20 minute drive away, then 15 / 20 minutes further on is the choice of Torrox Costa or Torre del Mar etc. Restaurant Magon in Torrox Costa is a must. The lovely Iznate town is only 10 / 15 mins up the road and is also well worth a visit. We ate at The bar Andalucia at the bottom of the town, it was great food and cheap drinks. All together a great holiday experience, excellent communication and support from the owner, a lovely Finca with a nice pool. We definately recommend this place for a holiday. We stayed for a week in June, the Casa is superbly equipped truly short of nothing. Ideally located for exploring the area, a car definitely needed. Communication with the owner prompt and efficient a true reflection of the villa with a explanation for every aspect. Would not hesitate to recommend

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at Casa Escondida, we loved the panoramic views and we couldn't fault a solitary thing. We were met by the very helpful Lara. The villa was really clean, there was lots of cups, glasses and everything we needed was there. We had a really nice bbq with super quality meat bought from the little supermarket in Iznate. The pool was ideal for dipping into and was kept clean by Lara's husband. We didn't get to everywhere due to covid but we were more than happy to sit and soak up the sun and views. We will definitely be returning.

From the start of the booking process to the finish it has been a pleasure to deal with Julian the owner. Great communication with lots of helpful information. The property is fantastic, well thought out with everything you could possibly need. The pool was lovely and clean and the views are amazing. Some might find the track from the main road a little challenging, but it’s a Villa up in the hills, what do you expect! There’s plenty to see and do, Nerja, Frigiliana, the beaches (15-20 minute drive), and much more. On a side note I would recommend All In car hire at Malaga (search on line) unlike the bigger firms they won’t rip you off, what they quote is what you pay, no hidden charges, excellent. A fantastic relaxing holiday, thank you.

The Finca was very much as we expected, rustic and in a rural location which is what we expected, however, the unmade track from to the Finca was difficult to navigate in places and over a mile long before reaching the main road! It was such a shame that Venta la Loma fell short of our expectations on both food and service, it would’ve been ideal as a nearby venue for us to patronise either lunchtime or evening but it wasn’t to be, the owner was most unfriendly; so therefore we ate in Iznate once and then Torre del Mar where the food was exceptional in each bar. The Finca was very well equipped, the only adverse comment would be that the beds were not very comfortable.

We had a superb stay in this beautiful home in a stunning location. Set up in the hills with views to the coast it is the type of Spain we love. Close to the beautiful small village of Iznate where we had some superb food yet only 25 minutes to the coast, Almayate being a favourite for a quiet lunch and swim. The house is spacious, cool and very well equipped. We loved the fairy lights and star gazing at night. The pool is glorious and the brand new wet room is great. The road to the property is perfectly accessible in a normal car and is as you'd expect from campo roads, how else do you get the stunning vistas! Julian provided excellent information in advance of our stay and we really enjoyed our stay. Thanks Julian!

My family and I enjoyed a very pleasant stay . The villa and pool were as described . The views were stunning. Julian was great , making sure we had all the details we needed . Lara was there as promised to lead us up to the villa .

The villa has fantastic views from up high in the hills over the rolling hills, valley and sea. The colours change from dawn to dusk and there is always something to look at and absorb oneself in. We enjoyed ourselves immensely at Casa Escondida, beginning the holiday with trips to the nearby white towns, local beaches, villages, the botantical gardens and Malaga (we stumbled on a procession at the cathedral which was amazing) but then ended up for the last few days just staying put at the villa by the pool, lounging on the sunbeds and sitting on the chairs on the verandah. It is a perfect place to get away from the bustle of modern life, become completely absorbed in holiday reading, plan great trips into the mountains you never quite make, drink bottles of local wine and eat home barbeequed food by candlelight and watch the many solar-powered twinkly lights come on at twilight - all very relaxing. We also discovered a great herb garden at the back that we used to adorn our salad each day. And the bougainvillea was second to none.
